At the joint proposal of Health Tourism Development Center of Islamic Countries (HTDC) and Foundation of Healthcare and Wellness Promotion of India, the International Health Tourism Policy Council is established.
In an interview with IRNA, Majid Zangooei, Secretary General of HTDC, announced the establishment of the International Health Tourism Policy Council with the aim of international synergies and coordinated actions in the development of the health tourism industry in countries.
The International Health Tourism Policy Council, with the presence of organizations and associations active in the field of health tourism, will be responsible for collaborative and strategic actions such as supporting related international events, transferring experiences of countries, identifying and introducing health and health tourism activists and players specially in private sectors, and providing incentives to activate countries in introducing the capacities of health and health tourism fields.
At the meeting held in Baku for this purpose, a number of seniors from effective international organizations in the field of health tourism and spa from Islamic countries and the European Union, as well as representatives of related organizations from Iran, India, Turkey, Italy, Malaysia, Germany and Croatia, were selected as members of the founding board of this council. At the meeting, the members decided to have the next meeting in late July at the invitation of the Health Tourism Development Center of Islamic countries (HTDC) and on the sideline of International Private Hospitals Congress & Exhibition (IPH2022)
